Company Description
The Edinburgh Laboratory was the founding laboratory of the Bodycote Group and was based in Livingston. Rapid growth of the business necessitated a move and our current prime location, at the intersection of Scotland’s two main arterial routes (M8 & M9) was acquired. The Edinburgh Lab has operated from here since 1985.
Around 30 employees now operate a two shift system allowing a fast, accurate turnaround of test pieces to suit the ever increasing demands of today’s market place.
The Edinburgh site holds accreditation for a wide range of tests including:
Room temperature tensiles
Elevated temperature tensiles
Through thickness tensiles
Shear and ram tensiles
BS & ASTM charpies
Vickers, Brinell, Rockwell and micro hardness
Fillet fracture
Nick break
Ring flaring and Ring flattening tests
CTOD testing.
