One composite product that Composite Resources excels at is the production of a wide range of stock composite carbon fiber tubes. The Black Project™ line of composite tube is economically roll-wrapped with 12K 2x2 twill carbon fiber fabric, which is used for a 3 dimensional pattern effect and strength. The composite carbon fiber tube features a machine rolled, tape wrapped outer diameter (OD) finish; this exterior finish has the added benefit of being easily handled and gripped. Black Project™ composite tube is half the weight of comparably-sized aluminum tube; other advantages of our composite tube include outstanding thermal resistance, superb tensile strength, and it is extremely lightweight. This is accomplished using a manufacturing process featuring high strength carbon fiber combined with a binding matrix of epoxy.
Black Project™ carbon fiber composite tube is available in standard sizes from 1/2 inch to 2 inches (including 5/8, 3/4, 7/8, 1, 1-1/4, 1-3/8, 1-1/2, 1-5/8, 1-3/4, and 1-7/8 inch sizes), with standard wall thickness sizes of 0.027, 0.054 and 0.081 inches.
