Emech Control Limited
Emech Control are leaders in ceramic disc valves, flow control valves and electronic actuators. Emech's award winning technology offers process engineers and plant operators accurate digital sensing and control at the point of process.
Emech Control manufacture:
- Three (3) port ceramic disc control valves and steam water mixers that provide fast and accurate water temperature mixing.
- Two (2) port ceramic disc control valves – providing fluid control for heat exchanger and pasteurisation applications.
- Electronic actuators – providing fast and accurate disc placement to within 0.03º. The Emech actuator is also compatible with conventional valve systems.
Emech technology is ideally suited to processes where fast and accurate control of fluid mix, temperature, pressure or flow is required. We pride ourselves on our installations, what our customers say and the production improvements achieved.
The Emech 2 port valve utilises ceramic shear action disc technology to provide tight shut-off, high pressure differential capability and long life integrity for you flow control valve needs.
Combined with the Emech electronic actuator, high speed stand alone closed loop control is possible. The Emech 2 port valve utilises ceramic shear action discs as the dynamic seal.
The extremely hard nature of ceramic produces outstanding resistance to wear and cavitation damage compared with conventional elastomer and plastic seated flow control valves, minimises seal replacement and plant downtime.
The Emech 3 port valve enables accurate temperature control. Combined with the fast Emech electronic actuator full closed loop control is achieved by sensing, mixing and controlling within the valve.
Utilising ceramic shear action disc technology the valve provides tight shut-off and high-pressure differential capability.

The Emech electronic actuator has evolved over 5 years of intensive research, engineering design and field testing. After initial prototype trials, the first generation Emech Actuator was installed in a large dairy processing facility in September 2000, with further unit installations in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in 2001.
Further enhancements were added, and in 2002 the Generation Two model evolved, including an aluminium fin casing to dissipate heat, a lockable manual override lever for emergency positioning, a user friendly control panel and software configuration improvements.
In June 2003, Emech designed further enhancements and a third generation actuator was launched improving calibration accuracy and programmable software that can be installed via the internet.
