TDI is a fully authorized diesel repair service center established in 1970. We have two locations for fuel injection and one in that specializes in turbochargers.
Brothers Ray Thompson and James Thompson started Thompson Diesel, Inc. in April 1970 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The focus of the new business was specialized. There was a need for servicing the various fuel injection systems in the diesel industry for agricultural, industrial and trucking applications. The first customers were mostly dealers and trucking companies and the end user business grew over the years. In 1973, TDI entered the Tulsa, OK market. Five years later, in 1978, TDI built a facility in the I-40 and MacArthur area of Oklahoma City, where it remains in operation today.
Thompson Turbo, a division of Thompson Diesel, Inc., moved to a new location in January 2003 to better service the natural gas compression and pipeline transportation industry. Today the Thompson Turbo division is one of top ten in North America in the high-speed natural gas compression market. Our customers include Hanover, Universal Compression, Compressor Systems, Inc., Oneok Productions, Enogex, Williams Companies, Western Gas, and many smaller companies. Everett Stacy, Vice President, manages this division.
The fuel injection shop in Tulsa is also TDI's corporate headquarters. The fuel shops are fully authorized by all diesel fuel injection manufacturers to handle service, parts, and warranty.
