Analog Multimeters
A multimeter is an electrical measurement device used to measure voltage, current, and resistance in an electrical circuit. In an analog multimeter, motion of the needle is directly proportional to the physical quantity being measured over within a preselected range. The output value is reported using a needle that moves over a calibrated scale with units for each measurement type. Multimeters are usually handheld devices though bench-top units with very high accuracy also exist.
